Short introduction by Dr Zachary Walker, Head of Department at Institute of Education, UCL’s faculty for Education and Society, Psychology and Human Development

In this session, Dr Miriam McBreen will introduce evidence-informed approaches and how these can be helpful in selecting suitable strategies to support learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Participants will have the opportunity to consider the benefits of adopting an evidence-informed approach, where to start looking for research evidence, and what questions to ask when encountering new strategies or approaches. These themes will be further explored throughout the seminar series, which will focus on how participants can incorporate research into their practice to support learners.
